How to Add, Delete or Edit Punches

This guide provides comprehensive instructions for accurately managing employee attendance, including how to add punch-in/out times and record absences.

Editing The Detailed Attendance Report

  1. Navigate to Reports in the main menu.
  2. Select Detailed Attendance Report from the dropdown list.
  3. Choose the desired employee and the relevant time period.
  4. Click “Show” to generate the report.

Methods for Adding Attendance

You have two convenient options for adding or editing attendance directly from the report:

  1. Quick Add from the Table: For swift entries, you can directly input “Punch In” and “Punch Out” times within the report’s table.
  2. Detailed Entry via Modal Window: For more comprehensive entries, click on the specific date you wish to modify. This will open a modal window where you can:
    • Add detailed attendance records.
    • Record an absence.
    • Enter multiple events for the same day.
    • Leave nites and comments.

Utilizing the Auto-Fill Feature

For expedited and standardized reporting, the “Auto-Fill” feature is a powerful tool.

How to Use Auto-Fill
Click the “Auto fill report” button to automatically populate the report based on the employee’s contract (e.g., 09:00 – 17:00).

Please note: Access to the auto-filling feature is contingent upon your company’s specific settings. 

Adding Absences or Attendance from the Timecard Page

The Timecard page offers another streamlined method for managing attendance and absences.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Access the Timecard from the sidebar menu.
  • Select either “Add punch in/out” or “Add Absence” as needed.
  • Complete the required fields on the subsequent page.
  • Click “Save” to confirm your entry.
