How To Approve Employee Absence Requests

This guide is for managers and explains how to review and either approve or reject absence requests (such as vacation or sick leave) submitted by the employees in your group.

Note for Managers: This functionality is available to users who are configured as a Group Manager and Administrator.
To set up a relevant Role, please go to the sidebar -> Users -> relevant User and select it from the dropdown in the Security section. 

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps to manage your team’s absence requests:

  • From the sidebar, navigate to Approvals and then select Time Off.
  • Select the relevant date range for the requests you wish to review and click the Show button.
  • To see only requests that are pending, click the “Pending approval” tab.
    The list will update to show all pending requests. Find the specific request you want to manage.
  • On the right side of the request’s row, click the Actions button and choose to Approve or Reject the absence request.
  • Once you select an option, the status of the request will be updated, and the employee will be notified.
