This guide explains how to configure specific overtime rules for night shifts within a contract. The system allows for different calculation methods for day shifts versus night shifts, ensuring accurate payroll processing for all employees.
As illustrated below, a day shift and a night shift with the same duration can result in different overtime calculations based on these settings.
Step-by-Step Guide
First, locate the specific contract you wish to modify.
- Navigate to Settings in the main menu.
- Select Contracts from the dropdown list.
- Click on the relevant contract you want to configure.
Once inside the contract, you will define the specific parameters for night shift overtime.
- Scroll down and click on the “Night Shift” tab.
- Configure the following fields to define the night shift rules:
- Check the box labeled Night shift employee to activate the special overtime rules.
- Set Overtime Threshold:
In the field If the employee has worked at least this amount of hours, enter the number of hours after which overtime calculation should begin for a night shift. - Define Night Shift Hours:
In At Night Between, enter the start and end times that officially define a night shift (e.g., 18:00 to 01:00).
- Click “Save” to apply the new configuration.
