This guide explains how to set up a new time clock or access controller device.
Step 1: Connect the clock to power and internet
Connect the clock to power using the original power cable that came with it - using an old cable from a previous device can damage the clock, so please use only original equipment. Connect a network cable as well.
Step 2: Set up the internet connection so the clock connects to the TimeClock 365 server
Enter the clock's menu by pressing M/OK, then use the arrow keys to go to Communication -> Network. Turn the DHCP switch off and then back on so the IP address refreshes. Press ESC to exit all menus - the connection to the server should refresh within about a minute. Once a globe icon appears on the clock's main screen, the clock is connected to the server and you can move to the next step.
Step 3: Assign employees to the clock and register a fingerprint / card / tag
If all employees are already set up in the system, our team prepares the clock with all employees already loaded, so you should see the existing employee list on the clock.
Registering a fingerprint
In the clock's menu, press M/OK and use the arrow keys to go to Employee Management -> Employee List, select the employee, click Edit, then Fingerprint. Have the employee place their finger three times until you get a green checkmark.
Registering a card / tag / chip / RFID sticker
In the clock's menu, press M/OK and use the arrow keys to go to Employee Management -> Employee List, select the employee, click Edit, then Tag. Scan the employee's tag until it is confirmed.
If employees do not appear in the clock's employee list, see the guide on assigning employees to the clock.
